Hi everyone,

| But How? |
So what's in store for you this year?
If you have some plans for the upcoming months or maybe a set program meant to build some personal development in your Life, then good for you. But do you know that the majority of people who make resolutions on first of January, break them before February? Sad but true.
Throughout the world, people of all Nations have been excited over the upcoming year...But is it gonna be another routine year with the same failures, the same underachievement , the same eternal hopes?
There are people who hold the same hopes for the past 10 years and more...You will hear them saying stuff like: 'This year I will change my life, I will make this happen...'
It is good, but they have been saying the same thing over and over again for the past 10 years! And no change came into their lives. Their excitement created by the New Year's Day, turns into some weird passivity, through the following weeks, creating total inaction.
But tonight, in this post, I want to drop a seed of light into your mind that will change your Life for the better.
Dear friends and readers, let me give you a valuable tip to achieve more in 2013:
' Keep the state of you mind in good shape.' The state of your mind will determine whether or not you will achieve positive changes or implement resolutions. Whether you find yourself in a crisis or attempt to realize anything, check the state of your mind first.
This post is especially addressed to all those people out there who constantly dream to achieve some positive changes but are constantly frozen by passivity. Let me take you through a journey of political history from which you will draw some positive lessons:
"Back in the days ( 15,16,17 and 18 centuries), western Nations were ruled by Kings and religious leaders whose authorities and power had no limits. They could exploit anyone as they wanted, they could erect Laws crushing the poor and enriching the aristocrats. Even the access to the Bible was forbidden to non-cleric people. And the ruled people was going on with their lives through passivity, accepting those unfair and exploiting laws and decrees. The exploited people accepted that Life as...normal.
Until some special people, whose states of minds were in shape to challenge that Life, took the stand and rose against the rules creating injustice."
Here are some of those Heroes who changed the face of the Earth forever:
Martin Luther (1483-1546):was a German theologian who challenged the then catholic rules stating that salvation can only be bought and the Bible only be accessible to the cleric people. How did he challenge those rule?
By asking two questions:
-Why do we have to buy salvation?
-Why is the Bible not accessible to all?
Montesquieu (1689-1755): was a french philosopher who challenged the idea of supreme power by the State. Super State power meant that the Ruler was entitled to do anything as he wished to do, including exploiting people anyhow. To stop that, the remedy would be to create a State comprising three separate powers: 'the judiciary, the executive and legislative.' How did he come to this realization?
By asking this questions:
-Why do we have a supreme state comprising all powers?
Let me bring you back, to normal Life and relate the subject to yourself. Those two people mentioned earlier have been called mind revolutionists. Why? Because they challenged their current circumstances through some serious questions. They changed Nations...
Your own life also need to be challenged by asking those questions such as: ' why do I have to be broke all the time? Why do I settle for this kind of relationship? Why my husband comes late from work all the time? Why my kids are skipping classes? Why do I have to be a second class citizen? Why do I have to work on Christmas, Public holidays? Why do I have to work so hard for peanuts? Why am I always jobless?....And so many other questions.
Do you take the time to ask challenging questions about passivity in your Life? Every year, you seem to have the same issue, over and over again, the same hopes ,over and over again, ...your Life has become some sort of routine in which you constantly sing: 'This year, I will make it different...'
Do you bother to challenge inaction and passivity in Life through some serious questions?
This year, I invite you to find that inner philosopher who is ready to embrace change by asking the right challenging questions:"Why do I have to be in this undesired situation?"
Take a stand against that inner or outer King and unjust ruler in your Life, and challenge Him.
Who or what could be that unjust Ruler binding you down into inertia?
Could that be :an addiction?( a game. drugs, alcohol, sex...)
: the wrong job?
: wrong relationship?
: a very busy life?
:your inability to think?
:Fear? Doubt? ect...
Find that Ruler and challenge him/ her!
But this is only most effective when the state of your mind is in good shape. If you are serious about making a change for the better, please read two of my previous posts:'Make a start with little things' and 'three other ways to start'.
God Bless you.
Maurice.
