When God commanded the tribe of Israel to come out of Egypt for a land of honey and milk, He did not give them details on the way they would conquer Israel. And when the children of Israel found themselves at the door of the promised land, they realized that the only way to get in was by engaging in a war.When Joseph was told by God in a dream that he would be ruler over his brothers and parents, God did not give him the gruel some details including his captivity and his imprisonment that were to come.
When David was anointed to be King of Israel, little did he know that he would spend years as a fugitive running for his life before seating on the throne of all Israel.
You might be in trouble right now because of your obedience to the will of God, just like David or Joseph did.
You see my friend, when God gives a vision to accomplish, He will not always give you the details in the beginning of your journey...
If you are in trouble right now because of your obedience to God, here is a question for you:
'If you knew ahead of all the negative details you have encountered in your journey, would you have started it?'
If the children of Israel knew , while in Egypt, that they would face enemies to wage war against in Jericho, would they have gone out of Eg
ypt?
When faced with difficulties and obstacles, we easily ask God the following question:
'Why didn't you warn me? Why didn't you tell me in advance that I would face those troubles before sending me?'
And these are legitimate questions...but understand that when giving you a vision, God will only tell you what you can handle at that very moment...If God venture Himself to add negative details you can not handle in due time, you will surely abort your mission before even starting it.
When the children of Israel left Egypt, God told them that were going in a land of 'milk and honey'. He did not tell them about the enemies they had to fight against. By the time, Moses came to liberate his people, the words ' land of milk and honey' were the only words they could handle. But as they reached the door of the promised land, new words such as 'war and conquests' came to play. They were then able to handle those words but they did not believe it.
Some negative details are hidden to you because you can not handle them yet. But the day they rose to the occasion will be the day you will be able to handle them without backing away...
Regardless of the hardships you face because of your obedience( and nothing else), I know one thing:
'You can now handle them.'
