If you are one of those people who has spent a lot of time
over the same life spot and in hope of progress, then this post for you.
How do you move from one spot to another?
There are three ways you can use to make sudden progress: ‘By
revelation, ‘Through prophetic realm, ‘Through the power of honor’.
In today’s post I will only discuss the power of revelation.
If you take the time to study most of the great heroes of
Faith, you will discover that they all have something in common: ‘they crossed their
paths with the Revelations of God.’
A revelation is simply the ‘uncovering of a mystery or a
secret’. Once your spirit accesses such secret, you are suddenly ahead in life.
But receiving a revelation alone is not enough; you have to act upon it as
well.
When God called Abraham, He revealed His will for him, and
Abraham obeyed.
When God met Moses in the desert, He revealed His plan for
the Hebrews, and Moses followed through.
When God revealed to Joseph the economic future of Egypt,
Joseph understood and acted according to the meaning of the revelation.
Saul was a murderer of Christians before converting to Christianity. One day, he was on his way to
Damascus to kill more Christians, but Jesus revealed Himself to him, and through
the same revelation Saul received a short instruction on what would happen next.
Acting upon God’s revelation made of Abraham a father for
Nations, it turned Moses into a great General, it promoted Joseph from prisoner
to Vice Pharaoh, it turned Saul from a persecutor to the greatest apostle of
Jesus Christ.
Acting upon a revelation is similar to pumping a car with a
serious amount of petrol; you will go very far once you act upon it.
In August this year,
I was invited to compete in an international academic competition
showcasing research and innovating
ideas. Few days before the event, while I was preparing my research , God spoke to me in a
dream, and instructed me to add a specific economic concept within my research.
I followed through, and eventually, my showcase was a success because I was
awarded the first winning prize in my category.
Now that’s what I call ‘moving at a giant speed’!
Contrarily to what many would think, God's revelations are not just limited to see angels and heavens...God can reveal any information to you over your life, relationships, business,work ...He is not limited.
You just have to listen carefully and obey without debating
or negotiating His instructions.
How do you catch a revelation from God?
Many of us believe that revelations from God should be kinda
very sophisticated stuff…So we constantly expect fireworks to spark around, or
some angels to appear…Of course those things can happen, but not necessarily.
God speaks through many ways: ‘visions, dreams, prophecy,
Bible, circumstances, discussions, a sermon…and so many other means. He might
be speaking to you right now as you read this blog. God is not limited to a
specific way of revealing Himself.
That’s why your ears need to be very careful in order to
catch God’s voice. If you call upon Him, He will respond (Jeremiah 33:3), and
not necessarily the way that you expect Him to respond. Many believers miss to
receive God ‘s revelations simply because it reached them in a very unexpected
way. God decides Himself to respond to you the way He wants; you just have to
be attentive.
Here is my bonus
point:
God very often uses the regular sermons preached in your local church to speak to you. Today, technology has made it possible to get some
great Christian contents on TV, internet, on blogs or books. When you hear in
those sermons revelations responding to your life then take note , remember them and act
upon them! It’s very simple. If you can; buy CDs or DVDs containing those
sermons so that you always have a copy of those revelations with you.
On the other hand, I find it funny how many churchgoers
barely remember a sermon 1 hour after leaving church. If you have trouble
remembering sermons then I suggest that you really take note of what you
hear, because you are probably a victim of ‘spiritual theft’.
