If you are in communion with God, there will be times where He will forbid you to take certain decisions. There will also be times where He will close doors, in order to protect you against danger.
Whenever God says 'NO', just abide and accept God's decision. Unfortunately, some of us refuse to listen. We open the doors that God has closed by force...and we enter the forbidden room. We ignore the 'NO ' from God and we decide to travel the dangerous road anyway.
My friend, don't try to prioritize your own desire over the will of God for your life...
Some people choose the wrong partner while ignoring God's warning...Some people venture into life journey's against God's clearly known disapproval...
Let me tell you something: 'When God does not approve of something in your life, He wants to protect you against something. He's not trying to get on your nerves, He 's not trying to make you unhappy. You might not understand God's reasons now, but you will at a later stage ( whether you agree to obey or not)
If you decide to marry someone, engage in a wrong career, and do any other things against God's approval, whatever that will happen to you in the future, will be on your own account. It won't be God's fault.
Sometimes you might think that you are right, while in truth you are wrong... Your own understanding is only good enough to make you believe that you are doing the right thing even when God does not approve.
This is what the Bible says about our own understanding:
'Trust the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.'( Proverbs 3:5)
'Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.' ( Proverbs 3:7)
Don't think of yourself as 'super-wise to the extent of believing that you can ignore God's opinion for your life...You will regret one day...
You might be madly in love with that person, but if God does not agree, you will have to put a break...
You might think that you are taking the right decision, but if God does not agree, review yourself and change...
What will happen to you, if you constantly ignore God's opinion?
This is what the Bible says about pride and ignoring God's opinion:
'There is a way that seems right to a man's understanding, but it eventually ends in death.' (Proverbs 14:12)
'The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listens to advice'. (Proverbs 12:15)
You may think right now: 'I am right, it feels right... but if God disapproves, then you are wrong. You are probably heading for a disaster...'
Save yourself the trouble, the trauma, the endless therapies, and the avoidable brokedness:
'Just follow God's opinion.'
