DECIDE MORE OFTEN

Today's world has been seriously stratified into several classes, and I am not just  referring to sexual or racial classes but primarily to economic classes. As you might already know, the world is made of very poor people, and then we have those who manage to set themselves above poverty, and finally we have the very rich and powerful people.  Even market structures, such as the workplace, have classes. In those workplaces, you will easily find ranks of responsibilities ( subordinates employees and superiors such as managers and executives). Now, Let me ask you a silly question:
'Who,between subordinates and top executives, are the most rewarded?'

Answer:'Obviously the top executives get paid more, take holidays whenever they want, they work less days, they decide who gets what (at their own benefit)....

Let me ask you another question:' Why, do they have more benefits?'

Answer: 'Because they have harnessed the power to decide, that's why they are called the society's executives.

An executive is simply a person who takes decisions in society or in the market place. They are commonly called Presidents, senators, cabinet ministers, CEOs, Managing Directors, Councilors, Executive Producers (for movies)....We find executives in every aspect of our society.

This blog is not a political or a business platform as such, and not every body wants to become a great leader but what can we learn from the lives of all those 'executives' who influence our personal lives?

Here is the lesson:' The more we have the guts to take decisions, the more chances we have to enhance the quality of our lives and to see our inside world come into reality.'

Many people struggle and will remain in a static state simply because they lack the guts to decide.

The main reason why we vote for some people to lead us, is simply because we know the amounts of guts they have to take decisions. Think of people like Obama, Churchill, Romney, Milliban, ...or any executive person (that you might know), they all have one thing in common:' The guts to decide and to live with their decisions consequences.'

Of course, I am not  telling you to run for President or become a top executive if it is not your aspiration but let's think of it:' Do you have enough guts to decide in your own personal life ?Could you be called an executive in your own right, within your own personal life?'

Do you take life changing decisions that move your living from a poor boring situation to a colorful environment? I mean deciding on your relationships, on getting married, on parenting, college studies, on a career choice and so on... When our lives are static, it's simply because we don't take decisions.

This leads to ask another question ; why  some people hardly decide?

-Because they fear pain.

The Fear of pain

Human nature has been conditioned to protect itself from one thing: 'PAIN.'  All the decisions  we take , are firstly intended at keeping us away from pain and at pushing us towards pleasure. For example, when some single guy does not ask a woman he likes on a date, it is simply because he fears rejection. He rather embrace pleasure at avoiding embarrassment. When a human decide to kill himself, it is simply because his/her life is too painful and he decides to run away from pain. That suicidal person finds pleasure into death. Or what about the time you knew that you had to decide on something but held yourself back because of one thing: 'fear or failure.'

Pain has many forms : 'failure, sadness, rejection, embarrassment, shame... ( you name it).

Why do people smoke, when they know that they could contract cancer? It is simply because they have been told that smoking is pleasurable. In other words they have linked smoking with pleasure.

Now  I have  another question for you:' Can you link the 'praise worthy' decision that you intend to take with its pleasurable benefits?'

For example, when you attempt on applying for a job, or on getting some favors (loans,a raise, credit cards, a date...), stop thinking pain in its various forms( rejection, humiliation, embarrassment, failure...) and start linking your decision to its future benefits ( happiness, prosperity, friendship, love, good time...).
You will see  what happens.

It is okay to fail...Actually those who fail the most, succeed  more often, simply because they try more than just once.

Decide more and turn yourself into an executive in your own right within your personal life.
