KEEP ME AWAY FROM THE EVIL ONE (to realise my life purpose)

There is a Dream or a specific vision that God has kept for us to live up to, which I call :' Life purpose". Unfortunately some forces will rise on our way to stop the materialization of God's dream.

You have probably heard by now the dictum :' You are your worst enemy.' This could be true, but not all the times. Besides our own personality weaknesses, there is another enemy called " The Evil". Many christian don't believe the Devil exist, and this could be very concerning  when facing spiritual attacks. An opponent whom you refuse to acknowledge existence could easily decimate your life.

Do you know why some of the best  secrets agencies are able to achieve devastating actions without being caught or stopped? Because they act undercover, in secret. Nobody acknowledges their acts, and as a result, it is easy for them to sneak around and realize their secret missions. Ignoring the Devil , favors evil activities in our societal and individual lives. In other words, You can not fight an opponent that you ignore! But he can beat you easily.

After a careful investigation, I came to realize one sad thing: 'Many born again Christian do not attain life fulfillment in God. They miss the mark, get themselves busy into activities that they are not supposed to do,  while contemplating the Dream that God had for them.

The Voice of God came to their spiritual ears, they knew what needed to be done, but along the way they got caught up into 'Evil traps', which have two objectives: 'suck your life energy ( to divert it back into the wrong activities) and consume your time ( until you get so old and wasted that you can't do the will of God anymore.)

In this text, I will not develop terms and definitions on the "Evil One", but I can tell you that he is a spirit who can adopt many forms and act through societal systems. The same ' Evil spirit' will attempt (is probably attempting) to stop you from attaining  your life purpose in Christ.  If you need a brief info on who the Devil is, I can just tell you that he is been around for as long as the universe has been created. The Bible mentions his existence as far as from the beginning of times. He has logically so much experience.  Let me ask you a question:

" Do you really think you could beat him in a one on one situation?

The best way to win over Evil, is to stay far away from it. That's it. Any invitation to face the Evil is a trap. The problem with many Christian, struggling to emerge into the Life that God envisioned for them, is that they have accepted the evil invitations of life  sent out to them. As a result their lives are pinned by restless fights doomed with succulent temptations and internal turmoils. Of course there are spiritual weapons to fight the Devil, but let's not be stupid, when the Evil invites you in a fight in his arena, DO NOT GO!
He is inviting you in an arena he knows better than you, and through the fight, you will come out second best. In     'evil terms', second best means : "dead". You might not be dead physically, but on the inside you are( or will be). In those cases, you can't afford to be second best where the real YOU in Christ is ( or will be) dead to life. That's the reason why the Bible says: ' The battle is not yours, but the Lord's' ( 2 chronicles 20:15).

The Devil is a spirit who can take many forms and act through many systems. It might be through a wrong occupation, wrong neighborhood, lustful activities , wrong relationships, ect... Can you see through now?

Following are some Bible passages that will encourage you to stay away from the Evil who ( or will) attempt(s) to crash your purpose by inviting you in his arena.

1."...Lord, keep me from Evil": The famous prayer of Jabez (1 chronicles 4:10) ends with those words. He originally asks for Blessings but ended asking for protective barrier keeping him away from the Evil One. So should you. He never said :'Lord, let me face and beat the Devil'.

2"...Do not lead us in temptation, but deliver from the Evil One": The Lord's prayer brings a beautiful element with two facets. The first part requests that God leads us not in temptation and therefore on the safe path. It does not say :' Lead me to fight against the devil.' (because you can't on your own). The second part request deliverance. In other words: ' GET ME OUT OF THE EVIL'S ARENA'.  The passage does not say :' make me victorious in this fight that I m facing.'

Remember folks, that God will never make you victorious in a war fought out of the purpose line he has drawn for you. He is not going to waste His time giving you victory in an arena where you are not supposed to be. The best thing to request is deliverance. But if you are too proud to admit that you should quit the wrong fights, then we have a serious problem...In some cases, it is safe to be a quitter.

May God keep us all  away from evil.
