Let's do some personal introspection:
'How many people do you think would raise their hands to say how much you have changed their lives?'
Now that we are running into the second half of the year, let us ask our self the question of how much our lives have impacted the people around us.
If your answer to the question is : 'Zero', then you have some serious introspection to make.
You can not allow yourself to spend 12 months in a year without influencing positively the life of another person. Failing to influence people is similar to having a totally invisible life.
Have you helped anyone this week,this year, this month?
Are they people who can raise their hands and say how positive your contribution in their lives was?
If you honestly know that no one can testify of your goodness towards them, then it surely means that you have a very 'self-centered' life.
And unfortunately, we tend to see those cases in the church as well where on Sunday morning people only focus on their personal experience with the presence of God during worship time. They close their eyes, they cry beautiful tears, they stand in silent and when the service ends, the personal experience also stops.
But God has not just called you to stop at that level. He has also called you to raise the level of your personal experience into serving others.
Do you know that as we go to Heaven , we will receive rewards? The apostle Paul wrote:
'For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due to us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.' (2 Corinthians 5:10)
Many of us believe that just going to church and crying during the worship service is all we have to do...and yes, we will be saved (if you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior) but the way we chose to live will be judged.
As you get up from bed, as you get out of the church service, as you step into the world, find out if you can help someone. Find out if you can influence someone 's life.
Refuse to be a spectator because the world is full of needs requesting answers.
Not far from you, there is a person who has needs. And you can be the response to that person's problem.
