Regardless of what you ask,
You and you alone, are the manager of your blessings.
Global warming on Earth is not God's fault. When God created the Earth, He left it to human. He told Man to look after it. If you ask God for a child, He will surely bless you by giving you one. But remember that you will be the one who will raise your child. How well you 'manage' your child, will definitely influence his/her upbringing.
What am I trying to say?
God can bless you anyhow, anywhere or anytime. However, you are the manager of the blessings He will send to you.
Some people prayed for a loan, God answered them, but unfortunately, when the loan was approved, they squandered the money in the wrong places and ended up in bad debts.
Some people prayed for a job, they got blessed but unfortunately, they kept coming late to work, until their bosses made it unbearable for them to work.
Some people prayed to get a salary, God answered them, but their mismanagement of money leads them into total impoverishment.
Wisdom should precede your Blessing.
It's not always about asking for money, but mostly about knowing how to handle money.
It's not always about finding a soul mate but mostly about learning how to maintain your relationships.
Next time when you ask God for something, ensure that you ask for the Wisdom to handle the Blessing He will send you.
When God asked Solomon what he wanted, Solomon asked for wisdom. God was so impressed by his request. And because Solomon would have wisdom granted to him, it made sense to God to give him abundant material blessings. Since God knew that Solomon would be able to manage his riches with wisdom (1 Kings 3).
Don't just ask for something, but make sure you are able to manage what comes your way.
