And I know that there is somebody, somewhere in the world who just can't figure out how to escape the 'jail' of his life to enter the dream life God has revealed to him/her.
Normally a 'prison' is for people who have committed horrible acts and who need to be disciplined. I personally believe that some impending life circumstances happen to those who have no respect for the right rules and principles of life. In other words, some people are caught up into uncomfortable life situations, similar to some 'prisons', because they refused to obey the rules that would ease a happier life.
By right principles or rules, I mean the commands such as : 'parental advice, common sense, laws of a country, rules of society...'
If they want to break and disregard those rules, then life will turn itself into a prison for them.
But here is a very interesting question:
'Have you ever seen an innocent man/woman being thrown in jail?'
Such picture could be one of the most disturbing situation to watch.
I am not referring to the term 'jail' in its real context but in a broader approach that I call: 'Life Jail'
A 'Life Jail' is a moment where all the circumstances are building odds against life movement. Inaction and distractions dominate the body and yet the mind lives in another world, a world seen in a dream...
Somebody living somewhere in the world is an innocent man or woman being imprisoned in a 'Life Jail' for a crime he/she did not commit.
This post is for that 'Somebody'.
That 'somebody' probably has a college degree but might be a cleaner at Starbucks.
That 'somebody' is a loving and caring person, and yet, is caught into a poor relationship.
That 'somebody' has dreams and visions but his/her current circumstances are building odds against him/her.
Have you ever seen someone holding a MBA degree, but sweeping the streets for a living? I am not saying that being a sweeper is a bad thing and I hold a lot of respects for everyone regardless of what they do in life. I just believe that every thing should be in its right place.
Somebody in the world has seen a dream, has got talents to make it happen BUT is misplaced in a 'Life Jail' for something he/she did not commit.
I have good news :
'There is a way out. If you are that Somebody, keep reading, I will show you the key.'
In the book of Genesis, a segment is dedicated to the life of an extraordinary man called Joseph. When he was 17, God showed him in a dream that he would be a ruler over his family. On the day he shared his dream with his siblings, those later got so upset that they decided to foul play his death and sell him as a slave to an Egyptian man.
Just like 'somebody' living somewhere in the world, Joseph did nothing wrong...
While being a slave in Egypt, the wife of his master tried to seduce him sexually, but he declined the invitation. Being hurt by Joseph stance, the master's wife falsely accused Joseph of a rape attempt. Soon afterwards, Joseph was thrown in Jail for a crime he did not commit.
Just like 'somebody' living in the world, Joseph was called for a great calling he saw in a dream, but in the same time was stuck in jail cell.
Just like 'somebody' in the world, Joseph was free in his mind, every time that his dreams was coming as a flashback ...but his body was imprisoned.
Sounds familiar?
Just like someone in the world, Joseph was living in a dual life: 'one that his reality was presenting, and one that he saw when he was a young boy.'
But the day of his release came, and this is how it happened:
'While Joseph was in prison, two other high dignitaries working for the Pharaoh of Egypt, were also thrown in jail for a mistake they committed against their master.One of them was the Pharaoh's chief cup bearer while the other was the royal chief baker. One day, those later both had dreams but could not interpret them. Fortunately, they shared their dreams with Joseph who interpreted them as the reinstatement of the chief cup bearer and the death execution of the royal baker...that would take take place within 3 days!
And it did happen.
A while later, the Pharaoh of Egypt also had dreams he could not interpret.In the midst of his confusing quest, the chief cup bearer remembered Joseph and recommended him to the Pharaoh as a good dream interpreter...
The rest became history...Joseph was released to interpret the Pharaoh's dream and later became the Vice Pharaoh of Egypt, thus realizing the dream God shown him when he was 17...
So how did Joseph got out of his 'life jail'?
Answer: 'He was a dreamer and a dream interpreter. He kept using his gift while in jail. Maybe he did not have all the time or all the resources in the world to exercise his gifts, but he did what he could with what he had in hand.
The same apply to that somebody imprisoned in the Jail of life:
'Keep exercising the gift you have. Even if it's for 30 minutes a day, just do it. You might be in a situation where the odds of life don't allow you to be the full picture you saw in a dream, but the constant exercise of your gifts to the service of others will get you out.'
All too often we get discouraged by 'life Jails' and we say to ourselves:' this thing is not gonna work, I rather quit.'
Don't say that. Maybe you do not have all the time and resources in the world, but you do have something little you could use. If it's 30 minutes of your time a day, then use it. Keep exercising even at a low intensity and you will get out.
Keep studying part-time,keep drawing those clothing models, keep drafting business plans,keep singing,keep writing, keep hunting..keep exercising you gifts. The day you will stop exercising your gift, will be the day you will stay in 'jail' forever.
The Bible says : 'a man's gift opens doors for him' (Proverbs 18:16)
And to that 'somebody' living somewhere in the world, I have one more question:
'How will people know about your gifts if you don't exercise them. I tell you verily, no doors of jail will be opened for you if you quit.'
Keep exercising.
