This blog aims at inspiring its readers to reach utmost purpose that God had conceived for them. God speaks to us, reveals His plans for our lives and then there are some actions that need to be taken in order to see realization. While acting upon realizing God's plan, wisdom should come into practice.
Jesus the great Master once said:
"Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?
For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you..." (Luke 14:28-29)
Jesus was simply referring to 'planning in our actions'. In other words : 'Before you do , assess and plan.' It's pure common sense.
Unfortunately, some very spiritual people, exclude all forms of common sense and embrace ' raw faith'. When God gives them a vision or a dream to realize, they just jump on the road without attempting to assess what types of actions will lead them into seeing God's dream to life.
Following are some case scenarios quite similar and very common that happen to those who chose to exclude total common sense or wisdom from their Christian walk.
Scenario 1: ' I will get married by faith' ( true story)
An old friend I knew quite well decided to get married...by faith. He was a very spiritual man, a fervent evangelist, passionate about the things of the Spirit...One day he met the woman of his dreams and decided to tie the knot. We ( his friends) all expected him to run a smooth wedding ceremony...Rather, Mr. 'Faith' decided to get married by faith. According to him, he did not need any planning and everything would just fit by itself until the wedding day. He expected the finance to come running to him, the invitations being formatted by some angel up there...you know... No need to say that the wedding was a disaster, an object of ridicule...As if it was not enough, the bride seriously cried on the big day . Yep, Mr. 'Faith' was getting married...
Scenario 2: ' I will play by faith'
That's the story of a very excited young man whom God had called to become a soccer player. The young man was so spiritual, that he thought he would play in the 'spirit'. He omitted training, physical exercises and all the physical requirements that make a good soccer player. One day, while he attempted to go for trial in a professional club, he had no clue on what to do, was so publicly humiliated and eventually failed. Yet he was over filled with the spiritual stuff.
Scenario 3 :' God told me: You are my woman'
That's one of the funniest case scenario. A young man prays for guidance in finding a soul mate. God speaks to him and shows him , through a dream, a woman who goes to the same church he goes to. The young man
gets so excited and decide to meet the girl. Here are the 'stupid' words he uses to break the ice:
' God told me that you should be my wife'
He forgets to apply the rules of court ship :' cool ice breaker, introduction, laughter, number exchange, the first date...' Eventually, the girl turned him down, even though God had planned for them to be together. She took the 'spiritual guy' for a psycho stalker.
This case scenario sounds unbelievable but it is true.
