A LONG OVERDUE LIFE
Hi everyone,
Goals and dreams always reach time of birth ( a time to come alive). But unfortunately, some dreams remain dreams forever due to our own fault. There is a very inspiring story in the Bible retracing the journey of the Israelite to their promised Land. Here is the story in few words:
' During the Ancient times, the Israelite people emigrated in Egypt where they remained during 400 hundred years. Towards the end of that period, the Egyptians turned against them and treated them as real slaves, right to the point where it became unbearable. So God sent a prophet and leader called Moses to freed the Israelite and lead them to a Land of Freedom where milk and honey would be blossoming. So after long political discussions with the Egyptian Pharaoh ( King of Egypt) and through drastic miracles, Moses succeeded to drive his people out of Egypt. After days of walking through the desert and eating heavenly food, the Israelite people finally reach the border of their promised Land. But one problem remains: 'There were some strong people inhabiting the Land. The only option God gave them, was to chase out those people. Moses knowing the gravity of the situation, decided to send 12 spies in order to make an intelligence report that would determine their war strategy of invasion. When the 12 spies returned from their trip, only two brought a positive account while the ten others brought a deeply negative reports. The two positive spies shared the good news related to the riches and goodness found in the Land. On the opposite, the ten other spies kept ranting over the negative side of attempting an invasion in the promised Land. Very briefly, out of all the great things they saw during their spying visit, these are the only thing they could remember:
1. We should not enter the Land because the people living in it are way much stronger than us.
2.Our children will be prey into their hands.
3.God sent us out of Egypt to kill us.
When the people heard those two reports, they chose to place their faith into the negative one , and to make it worst, they decided to develop the details of that negative report by popular communication until the whole people really believed that they had no chance at all. When God heard their lack of faith and feared filled tongues, He decided (please read carefully) to extend their stay in the desert for 40 years ( as a punishment for their lack of faith) !
How does that sad story relates to many of us?
'For those who had enough courage to walk towards their dream realizations through active steps, there will come a due time where their dreams will turn into reality (only if you took active steps like the Israelite walked out of Egypt). Eventually ,some people,as they keep on walking, will find themselves at the door of realization, but won't attempt to make the final touch. As a result we have societies filled with people who should have achieved their dreams years ago, and who keep on struggling by wandering in that 'desert' of life. Why is this? It is due to the same reasons that the Israelite refused to enter the Land, which were:
1. Focus on the negative side of the Dream:
'It is quite fair to strike a balance between cons and pros...but I have yet to find the most perfect situation in the world history. Everything in Life, from relationships, jobs, countries, politics, justice,finance....has a negative side. Let me add this statement:' You will always find a good reason not to do the will of God!' If Jesus focused on the negative side of mission, He would not have allowed Himself to die at the cross. This is the plain truth:'You will always find tons of good reasons not to do the will of God.' Rather Look at the positive side of things and let it lead you into your own reality.
2. Fear:
The second reason is created by the first one. I don't really know what exactly to say about Fear...but let me say this: 'It's better to try and fail, than never try.' At least you will not live with regrets...So get up and ask that girl out, apply for that job, propose your girlfriend, attempt that business venture, take risks where your Life Purpose is on the line. Wherever your Life purpose is on the Line, always take the risk to beat your Fear by taking action. The Israelite people's destiny was on the line but they refused to take risks. I will sum it up wisely this way: " Risks can be stupidly taken sometimes. But when your destiny and life purpose created by God are on the line : TAKE R I S K S !
3. God wants to kill us!:
How many times will you hear that! God can be many things at times...but can He really attempt to destroy you because you are trying to do His will?
What is God's will in your life?
Answer: 'The reason why He created you'
The Bible promised us this :' In all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose' (Romans 8:28)
I think that if You show love towards God by living His will, surely His protection ( health, financial, emotional...) will be with you. So don't fear and go for your Dream.
God Bless you.
