If you want to realize the will of God, prepare yourself to disappoint people.

If you intend on realizing all the dreams that God has deposited in your heart, then prepare yourself to become a disappointing person.

The biggest problem will be to choose between pleasing people or pleasing God.

Have you ever seen a girl getting married to the wrong guy because she wanted to please her mom?
Have you ever seen a young man embracing a career he hates because he wanted to please his dad?

These are some of the silliest and usual examples encountered in life.

If you intend on achieving your God created purpose, you will constantly be faced with the choice of either pleasing God or people. And when you decide to please God, some people will be happy but others will be disappointed.

It is very easy to disappoint people we don't get along with.
But how do we disappoint the people who truly care for us? How do we disappoint the people we cherish? It's a tough question.

Jesus was a chief 'disappointer'. He disappointed the Pharisees, he disappointed his friend Peter, he disappointed his own blood siblings.
When the people of Israel expected a great King with an impressive army, Jesus came as a simple man. When Peter forbid Jesus to surrender Himself to the Israelite authorities, Jesus rebuked him (Matthew 16:23). There are many instances where Jesus disappointed people in order to do the will of God.

God has made you for a specific purpose. And as you move on your journey, you will be faced with the choice of either following exactly on the footsteps of your dream or getting mixed up with the views of other people in your life. It's either you live the dreams that God has forged for you or you will live other's people dreams for you.

And when you decide on walking in the footsteps of your dream, you will really disappoint loved ones who do not understand the will of God in your life.

It will be 'what they want for you' vs. 'what God wants for you'.

But don't worry, as they see the usefulness of the will of God in your life, those loved ones will turn around and realize the good choice you made. Don't be scared of losing them for a while.

Keep  courage, God will justify your choice.
