One of my best friends is a former soccer player who recently stopped playing. During his days, he was one of the most demanded players in the community where I live. I have seen for myself the wonders he has done on the football pitch. Unfortunately, he never made it to professional level...In spite of all the soccer trials he went for, none of the clubs were able to offer him a contract. And it was not because he was lacking ability. On the contrary, clubs were keen to sign him but there was one problem: ' he is a foreigner and he never had a work permit.'
If only he had a proper work permit, then he could have made it ' pro'.
Often, when we meet at his place ,we watch football together on TV. It always amazes us how some players don't seem to have the same level that my friend has. And every time he sees some incompetent style of play during a game, he keeps saying one thing:
' I am sure that I could do better than them !'
And it's true. My friend is much more competent and much better than so many soccer players who have a chance to play professional. The only reason why he could not make it pro, is because he never had a work permit. Sad hey? The work permit is the key that would have helped him to secure a contract.
Now, let's look at yourself. You might have dream or a vision. In the scope of your dream, there are people who made it big and were successful. And sometimes when you look at them, you might say: ' Hey I am sure I can do better than them.'
What made them to land in the place where they are now?
It's a key. They found the keys that open doors during their journeys.
You see folks, your journey in Christ has a purpose but along the way there are some doors that need to be opened by using specific keys. The feeling of ' blockade' you might have is produced by the presence of a locked door . This is exactly what my friend was going through. Unfortunately after years of trying, he never made it pro.
In the book of Matthew 16:19 , Jesus said :
' I am giving you the keys of the Kingdom of God. Whatever you shall close on earth, shall be closed in Heaven. And whatever you shall open on earth, shall be opened in Heaven as well.
If you read the verse carefully, Jesus never said : '...the keys to the Kingdom...' but he said '...the keys of the Kingdom...'
There is a big difference between ' to' and ' of'. Jesus said : ...the keys OF the Kingdom...' It logically means that the main door of the Kingdom has already been opened. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, then you are already in the Kingdom. So if we are already in the Kingdom, what are those keys for?
On Earth, there are doors leading to rooms that can only be opened or closed with keys that God has given us. The BIBLE never told us the number of keys Jesus left us. Which means that they could be outnumbering.
Those rooms have characteristics, depending on what they contain. For example, there are rooms filled with wealth, health, happiness, joy...and so on. Those rooms ought to be opened. On the other sides, there are some bad rooms filled with crappy stuff such as poverty, wars, discrimination, racism, sickness.... those rooms should be closed with the keys of the Kingdom.
So how do you find those keys?
Those keys are found in the Bible and enables any Saved human to become supernatural on Earth. There is no specific amount that determine the number of keys. But I will give you some keys as a examples:
- Forgiveness : is a key that protects from stress, opens blessings in our life.. (Matthew 5:23)
-Tithes : giving 10% of your income to your local church in view to support the work of the Gospel on earth. The tithe is a strong key that opens the vaults of Heaven. There will never be enough space to say how much the Tithes can turn a life around. (Malachi 3:10)
-Wisdom of God: ' the knowledge from above visible through common sense can be found in many parables of Jesus and in the book of proverbs. I use the wisdom of God to produce contents on my blog.
-Righteousness: 'Understanding that the sacrifice of Jesus has cleansed us from guilt, condemnation and judgement. Understanding that the sacrifice of Jesus has restored our human nature to its original state.( Romans 3,5)
- Paternal divinity: 'Understanding that we have inherited God's divinity and therefore that we are supernatural. Jesus even said: ' Don't you know, you are gods?' (John 10:34)
-Promises of God: sealed in the Bible . By confessing them repetitively ( until something happens), we attract wonderful things in our lives. There are so many promises sealed in the Bible. The Psalms 23 is one of them. Just read your Bible and you will find them.
-The Name of Jesus: ' Before leaving the Earth, Jesus said : You will heal the sick, cast out demons...in my Name... The same Name can be used to open stubborn doors on your life journey... (Mark 16:17)
What about prayer, faith, obedience, holiness, purity...?
There are so many keys that I have not mentioned and you can find them in the Bible.
And Jesus even promised:
'No gates of hell ( in your life) shall prevail against you.' ( Matthew 16:18)
No gates shall stop you from moving forward if you find and use those keys.
